The old original cranky post:

Whatever prizes they might offer aren’t worth having to keep track of these damn bottle caps and scraps of cardboard packaging, printed with unreadable strings of letters. I have to pry off the little condom inside the bottle cap and squint at the dot matrix letters printed in its gloomy interior. When I finish pecking out the code on the Coke Rewards Web page, it tells me that the code is wrong. I don’t know why it’s wrong, because that’s a secret.

Dear Coca-Cola company: Please stop making me work so hard to participate in your promotion.

If you take a flashlight and put it under the cap it makes the numbers and leters a lot easier to read.

2. My Coke Rewards experience improves « The Journal of Rockett Science - March 1, 2007

[...] may remember my previous rant on the subject of My Coke Rewards: that the shape of the bottlecaps made the codes too hard to read [...]

3. Wade Rockett - March 1, 2007

Thanks! Now I just need batteries for my flashlight and I’m set.

4. Jeffrey - March 10, 2007

I hold the caps up against the screen of my laptop on super bright. Helps a lot. If that doesnt work I have my 10 year old read them to me.

5. Wade Rockett - March 11, 2007

“Why, this is so simple that a four year old child could read it! Go find me a four year old child.”

6. hereNnow - April 7, 2007

Well, it’s not like they offer anything worth saving for. They haven’t added anything but American Idol and Basketball Crap in ages

7. A. Stratton - April 17, 2007

Well, Screw my Coke Rewards too. As a new signee to the program and after receiving unwanted phone calls and emails from everyone else in the world as a result of signing up, seems COKE does not even recognize my email or password. I AM DONE. DON’T HAVE TIME TO FOOL WITH THIS.

8. Wade Rockett - April 17, 2007

You got PHONE calls?? What’s up with that?

9. Tracy Williams - April 17, 2007

I have been participating in the rewards prgram from the beginning without any trouble. I guess I’m at least as smart as my four year old! I have recieved several free magazine subscriptions, movie rentals and an entire month of Blockbuster Online! All without any problems! It’s been easy and free. I haven’t recieved any junk emails or phone calls. Hey! Why don’t you just send your bottle caps and scraps of cardboard with codes to me? I’d love to have them!!

10. Philip - April 17, 2007

I just want a PSP

11. Rocco - April 17, 2007

The new site is fantastic! I really love the “Grab your drink” section including a kick-ass Pibb Xtra bull-riding game. The guy who came up with this is a pure genius.

Coca-cola has once again captured my imagination. Keep up the good work. If only you could offer a similar experience on a mobile device…

12. Philip - April 17, 2007

YeA well I havent been able to get on in over an hour. Sux 4 me, probly sellin out of everything I want…………..

13. Wade Rockett - April 17, 2007

@Tracy - well, not exactly free, right? You’re buying carloads of Coke products, which is the whole point of the promotion.

14. NinaBina - April 17, 2007

It keeps saying mine are invalid too! This is such a scam! But i’ll show them! My dad owns a store and we get about 25 cases a week and i wont stop until i get something! For the ppl that dont have this advantage….IT IS NOT WORTH IT! Drink water …don’t even support this nonsense.

15. Pamela Robinson - April 17, 2007

I have been trying to sign back on to My Coke Rewards account for the last three days. Since they have changed their site, I haven’t been able to access my account. I guess my 130+ points are down the toilet! Taking part in this contest has been the most frustrating experience! I think I’ll just switch to Pepsi or maybe even water, it’s a lot healthier.

16. LadyDj - April 17, 2007

I hadn’t really had any problems, until now. I can’t get back on the site and I have a lot of points saved on there. Maybe I should have chosen something lame and used the points before they “updated it!!”

17. Jeff - April 18, 2007

I received a text message telling me to enter the code they just sent me to earn 10 points. When I tried entering the code, the site said it was invalid. Got another text saying they updated thier system and to try re-entering my code. Now I can’t even get on to their site. What will they think of next?

18. Tracy Williams - April 18, 2007

Ok, Wade, not EXACTLY free. I drink alot of Diet Coke anyway though. I don’t buy any more just for the points. I haven’t been able to get to the site in several days either. What’s up with that?

19. Tracy Williams - April 18, 2007

I just figured out how to get back on to the site. I had to go thru Freebie Cafe.com. The new site is really difficult, confusing to navigate. They have a bunch of new items though and I was able to enter my codes. It was easier to enter codes. Good luck!

20. Wade Rockett - April 19, 2007

I’m guessing that MCR’s site was overwhelmed by the number of visitors once the promotion expanded (although I bet there was some bugginess there, too.) I was able to get in just fine today. I agree that the navigation is a bit weird, but I like that there’s less mouse action involved in entering codes.

Agh! Freebie Cafe is a link farm! I freakin’ hate those things. :-)

21. E.J. Messerschmidt - April 20, 2007

well it’s not letting me in this morning………. and why would anyone PAY codes for a month of free Blockbuster online….Blockbuster’s promotion IS one month free straight through Blockbuster !

22. Buck - April 21, 2007

Free Music?? Does the RIAA know about this? The RIAA wants to sue grandfathers, little kids, the disabled, and goes after poor people, yet they leave Coca Cola alone giving out FREE MUSIC?

When is the RIAA going to start PAYING the artist what proper royalties they’ve earned selling their albums & CD’s..NEVER! The RIAA is run by the MAFIA and anyone with half a brain cell should know that. THEY’re a rip-off racket and I’ll bet COKE isn’t paying the artist and bands for THEIR music as well.

GO TO HELL COKE & the RIAA! I’ll just drink regular tap water as COKE sells Disanti bottled water.

23. CJ - April 22, 2007

Around Christmas I redeemed 2000 points on the Brunswick Bowling package(600 points for each). The plan was for the whole family
to enjoy bowling together. Guess what??? It was a wasted 2000 points. Brunswick wouldn’t accept the coupon even though there were no retrictions nor an expiration date on the coupon (which you print off your home computer). I contacted Coke and they told be the coupon was only valid in Colorado, Arizona and Washington State. Well guess what??? I don’t know anyone in those states.

When I originally went to redeem my points and the screen came up and said get reward now and I clicked on it. That was it. It took the points. The restrictions for the bowling pakage were outside the grey box on the computer screen(screen has since changed) and you had to scroll down to see them. QUITE MISLEADING !!!

Now they have changed their website in April and the Brunswick Family Bowling package is still there. Now it just says subject to Brunswick Terms and Conditions. Nothing about what State they’re good in. This is getting to be too much work. I guess now before redeeming any awards we must make sure to contact the company supplying the prize to make sure it is usable.

It took quite a long time to acquire the 2000 points which just went bye-bye with the click of a mouse.

The worst part, a family member, I gave a coupone to tried to use it , was denied usage and was very embarrassed that it ended up costing him over $125 for the family to bowl. I then was out $125 after reimbursing him for my so-called gift.

What’s up coke??? I have e-mailed coke. All I want is the 2000 points back. The coupon is absolutely useless to me. Never heard back from them after the initial denial stating Brunswick Bowling only available in CO, AZ and WA.

What a joke !! For such a large company what’s the big deal with giving me the points back or making good on their prize.
Be careful what you select !!!

24. Debbie - April 23, 2007

The reason the site is not available is because the program ended on April 16, 2007. I knew this in advance because I had seen it somewhere (either on their website or on the 12-pack itself). So I made sure I used up my points before it ended.

25. Sha - April 23, 2007

Anyone having trouble with the mycokerewards website loading? It just keeps saying it’s loading for hours! I don’t have any trouble with any other websites! Any info? Appreciate the help:)

26. Sha - April 23, 2007

I just spoke to a rep at mycokerewards.com and he said the program has not ended. It was extended until Dec. 2007. The website is down at this time but they are working on it.

27. withoutdelay8 - April 23, 2007

If you redeem points for single movie rental at Blockbuster there’s a good chance Blockbuster will not accept the coupon. They told us the coupon had already been used. 45 points down the drain. Tried to contact coke via website and it wouldn’t let me submit message; it probably would have been a good idea to test their new website before activating it;

28. NinaBina - April 23, 2007

Every since they updated this website It DOESN’T ALLOW ME TO LOG ON!! I ‘ve called and complained and have gotten the old …must be technical difficulties bull…well if there has been tech difficulties for more than one they day they should have it fixed already! I think coke’s plan is to get everyone so frustrated that they just forget about there points….well i sat there and typed in those stupid codes that u can barely read, so i will get what i deserve! And i won’t stop calling them until i get it. They are not going to waste my time, I’ll tell u that right now!

29. Pepsi Lover - April 24, 2007

You all should just drink PEPSI, it’s a million times better than Coke anyway. I only looked here after buying a sprite at some dumb store that didn’t sell Pepsi. I was just curious what the code thing was about. PEPSI would never, ever do something so totally & completely retarded. There, now I’ve offended a s–tload of people, and I don’t care ’cause I’ll never step foot on this site again. Bye now.

30. Destiny - April 25, 2007

Its been FIVE days of constant trying to access the “New” Site to enter codes… very frustrating… if there is a trick to get this blasted thing to load… I sure would like to know about it.

31. CT - April 25, 2007

Hey Sha, any word on when it will be back up?

32. Wade Rockett - April 25, 2007

A lot of y’all are saying that the Web site is down, but I’ve been able to get to it with no problem. We’re all going to the same place, right? http://www.mycokerewards.com?

The page loads right away for me, and I have no trouble at all logging in.

33. need more points - April 25, 2007

No issues for me either. I have been entering codes as usual all week.

34. Norma Kiser - April 25, 2007

Coke says it changed the site and look for the new site in mid April, I have been trying to get on it for 2 weeks with no luck, it just keep loading. I say screw coke and switch to pepsi!

35. Tracy Williams - April 25, 2007

Just type mycokerewards.com into your search. You’ll find it easily. It really isn’t that difficult to find or log on. The program has been extended until Dec. “07. You guys are right, you do need to check out the rewards! Local places might not honor the coupons, etc. When you participate in giveaways though, of any kind, you need to! Use some common sense! I didn’t know Blockbuster had the free trial deal going on. It wasn’t like I was interested in Blockbuster online specifically. I saw on the Coke web site and was interested. Besides, it’s not like I’m spending cash! These are just points! Relax guys! This whole thing is just for fun!

36. Eric Larson - April 26, 2007

I have had nothing but trouble trying to recieve rewards. 2600 points for a Sony walkman. I used a debit card # ” for security purposes” and Sony immediately took $89 out of my checking account , right after Coke took the 2600 points. At $3 a 12 pack that works out to be $780 worth of Coke. After considerable hassle and nearly a year , I got the MP3 and my $ back. But wait , the story does not end here. For 1000 points you get a $50 Sony E-coupon. So I figure I’ll get two and get an MP3 for my wife. Nothing can go wrong here. Yeah right. Coke takes 2000 points Sony accepts one $50 e-coupon but not the other. Back to the red tape run around. The %5 percent off discount from Sony didn’t work either. Too many codes and numbers. That’s 5,520 12oz. Cokes for two $89 Sony Walkmans. Anybody going for the 15,000 point Guitar? Eric

37. Amie - April 26, 2007

I’ve redeemed points on the new site. I have yet to receive confirmation of my order from Coke Rewards. I’m concerned because the site did not prompt me to enter a phone number, but shows the order as fulfilled on my account page. I guess I’ll just have to wait 8 weeks and then complain. Where do I register a complaint on the new website?

38. JEC - April 26, 2007

This new program is great. In the old program I had 930 points now with the new program Im showing 9300. That is great. But know with all of you complaining about the rewards, I have to be careful how I used this points.

39. eric h - April 26, 2007

you guys are a bunch of cry babies. all you have to do is READ all the fine print restrictions. You dont have to enter a phone # to redeem a reward. They have all that on file when you sign up. As for getting phone calls and e-mails, there are boxes you have to check in the regiastration process that you obviously checked. im so tired of hearing all of you cry about how many 12pks you bought. well its intended for you to get rewards for something you already do, DRINK SODA. so YES it is free. if you dont like the program go drink pepsi and get NOTHING.

40. J H C - April 26, 2007

Reading some of the messages posted, I may not be a totally insane yet. I’ve tried for close to a week to enter the unreadable codes, but can not get to the web site. I know I’m still on the s l o w side of things, but that’s my issue. The problem is, I CANNOT access mycokerewards.com.

41. jonny - April 26, 2007

It is free if you find caps in the trash or people give them to you, then you dont even have to buy it. go figure

42. semkins - April 26, 2007

How can people at a company with such a good product be so stupid? Coke has time and again done everything it can to discourage people from buying. They changed the formula to taste like Pepsi -Remember New Coke? They make distributers sign a contract and refuse to give discounts for larger quantities. Now they seem to think that everyone on the planet has broadband. I have a bunch of these points saved up and now I can’t even get on line to add more since they changed the rewards points page.I’m not the least bit interested in looking at their pretty pictures with Adobe Flash Player 9 and it takes me 15 minutes to load that drivel. I still would rather drink a warm Coke than a cold Pepsi but JEEZ! Why do they have to be such idiots?

43. Connie - April 27, 2007

If you are all having trouble getting to the website with slow internet, go to the library and use a computer there.

44. Eric Larson - April 27, 2007

More Grief. Don’t try using more than one $50 E-Coupon at Sony. I tried to get the above mentioned ( See Eric #35 ) MP3 player and got an e-mail from Sony stating I could not use more than one coupon. O.K. so I send an E-mail back to Sony about Cokes Gift Cards to use at Sony. Coke says you may use up to ten gift cards. I am considering sending Sony the remaining $39 if I can figure out How to get them to credit the $50 on a new order. I am really close to never drinking Coke again. I like Diet Coke and just enjoy one after another. I never did buy Coke for an overpriced reward hassle.

45. JEC - April 27, 2007

Cry babys

46. Tracy Williams - April 27, 2007

I agree! Cry Babies! Read ALL of the fine print, etc.! Here is a number you can call to speak with someone about your redemption problems. Yes, it does take up to a week to get an answer, but then again, you are getting a FREE item! 1-800-438-2653. Good Luck!

47. Tracy Williams - April 27, 2007

Hey! A footnote to the previous message….if you get results with the number, buy me a Diet Coke ( 12-pack!).

48. Wade Rockett - April 28, 2007

@Eric: Most (maybe all) coupons are “not valid with any other offer” — you can’t clip two coupons for Fruity Pebbles out of the paper and use them both at the supermarket to get a free box of cereal. So I’m not surprised at the Sony thing. It’s a drag, but that is how coupons work.

I don’t see why you couldn’t use multiple gift cards, though. Let us know how it turns out?

49. eric h - April 28, 2007

>>>>
the way the sony gift cards ues to work where ecoupons, such as the one you have. those ecoupons can only be used at the rate of one per order. but now coke and sony have wised up and now you are issued a gift card. gift cards are able to be used ten at a time. so if you earn enough points you can cash in up to ten gift cards (even though i think coke will only let you get like five, i think) and one ecoupon. if that clears it up or straightens out the mess your facing let me know. > i know pretty much everything there is to know about mycokerewards.com so if you have any questions let me know.

51. Amie - April 28, 2007

To clarify earlier post of April 26. On the coke rewards faqs page, under topics & questions Topic: Getting Rewards/Prizes. Question: What happens after I redeem points for a reward? The answer given is “After you provide us with a valid U.S. street address AND telephone number, your item will be shipped. We’ll give you a shmt tracking # for your reward item and a URL where you can view it’s status.” The website did not prompt me to enter a valid phone # as the old site did, or to verify my shipping address. The website did reduce my point value for the amount of the reward, and The Account page shows my reward as fulfilled. I have in fact sent a contact message to Coke Rewards regarding this error as stated within the Faqs page on the website. I’m currently waiting for a response. I think there might be a problem with receiving rewards when the website does not fully support it’s own instructions for remdemption. Only time will tell I suppose. Will repost here when contact has been received from My Coke Rewards.

52. Amie - April 28, 2007

Upon contacting the phone number posted above I was forwarded to the E-Prize Fulfillment Dept. You are in fact upon redemption to receive a 12 digit code (which I did not) that gives you the opportunity to verify your addy & phone. I am waiting for the dept. to call me back. The direct # to Fulfillment Dept. is 866-218-5697. Perhaps this info will help others to actually receive the items for which they have redeemed points. The prgm. gets better every day!

53. mary B - April 28, 2007

I haven’t been able to log into the site at all this month. So glad others are having a similar problem. What have they done to the site? I have tried to access it from different screens and still nothing. Just stupid coke bottles running around. And it clogs up my computer. Can these dumb codes be entered over the telephone? It think it was better when you just won a bottle of soda!

I have slow dial up modem. No high speed stuff in the boondocks.

54. Moe - April 28, 2007

ERROR - “Sorry we cannot process your request right now, please try again later.”

Is all I get when I try to even access the site. Adobe Flash is awfully slow using my cable connection, I can’t imagine what the dial-up users must be going through. Once I do get a chance to redeem my points (enough for a simple movie rental) I’ll never go back to that site again. Good riddance. High five to those of you who are smart enough to drink water which is better for you anyway.

55. eric h - April 29, 2007

AMIE, it all depends on the reward you chose. some are sent to your e-mail. so if you can specify what you are expecting maybe i know something that will help you.

56. eric h - April 29, 2007

MARY B, yes you can put them over the cell phone by texting your codes to”2653″. but you have to add your phone to your account through the website. the only suggestion i have is to try the site at a friends house then after that you can just text your codes in.

57. Eric Larson - April 30, 2007

Well, I finally got through to a real person @ Sony. She was very nice and hooked me up with their sales dept and accepted both gift cards towards my MP3. I had one I got for myself 2600 Pts. on the old reward site and now one for my wife 2000 Pts. She got a better deal than I did. It took a lot of time and patience but I think I finally won. Thanks for the above #’s See 52 above. I am not a cry baby. I just want whats mine and I want it now! Wah! :)

58. Bobby Usurpa - April 30, 2007

Yea, I saved up points entered some right away as I cashed in a few to get a yearly subsc. to a magazine that never came. the company claims I should send a copy of my visa receipt but the dummies don’t even read that I said I got it from Coke rewards.

59. Bill - April 30, 2007

I have tried to add to my coke reward but the page will not open for me. After reading some of these remarks I have to agree that it is not worth the effort so here goes my caps to the trash.

60. APRIL - April 30, 2007

you know what? I discovered that if you hold the cap up to the computer screen and you make sure to have really bright LCD, you can see the codes a lot easier and you won’t have to strain your eyes. It works for me.

61. How old are you? - May 1, 2007

I am pretty sure that everyone that is complaining about coke rewards must be retarded. There is nothing that hard about it. Grow up! You are buying the coke anyway, so just be happy that you are getting something back in return. If you really are mad about it then go drink something else and quit wasting more of your time complaining about it.

62. JEC - May 1, 2007

Coke is an idiot.

There, I said it. Whether you instinctively agree with the statement or not, though, perhaps you want a few more details, so here goes. Today’s issue of The Wall Street Journal describes a fast-growing cultural phenomenon, in which amateur video-makers around the world have taped the explosive results of dropping a piece of Mentos candy into a bottle of Diet Coke.

Wrote the Journal: “The combination results in a geyser of soda that shoots as high as 20 feet into the air.”

Cool.

Tiny Mentos, a unit of privately owned Perfetti Van Melle of Italy, says it’s “tickled pink” by the phenomenon and, in investigating its popularity, has discovered about 800 videos of the chemical reaction posted on the Internet. Working some back-of-the-candy-wrapper numbers, Perfetti says the free advertising being posted on the Web is probably worth in the neighborhood of $10 million to the company — half of its annual U.S. advertising budget. When Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) was asked to comment on the science experiment, however, its response was more muted: “It’s an entertaining phenomenon … [but] doesn’t fit with the brand personality” of Diet Coke.

Now, it’s no surprise that mighty Coke, with its $2 billion-per-annum advertising budget, isn’t as thrilled as Perfetti is with the pop-goes-the-geyser phenomenon. Ten mil in free advertising or no, the exploding-soda phenomenon may hit a bit close to home. Back in the ’80s, both Coke and Kraft (NYSE: KFT) subsidiary General Foods suffered at the hands of a disturbingly similar urban legend. Supposedly, General Food’s Pop Rocks, combined with a glass of Coke, made Quaker Oats (now PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP)) poster boy Mikey’s head explode.

So forgive Coke if its first response to the Mentos trick is something other than “ha, ha.”

But really, guys (I’m speaking to Coke now), isn’t it time to put the Pop Rocks thing behind you? For one thing, everybody knows it was a hoax. For another, it’s been, like, 23 years. Chances are, most of the kids dropping Mentos into 2-liter Coke bottles today weren’t even born yet back then. And for a third … did I mention how cool this Mentos thing is?

Seriously, Coke shouldn’t be giving Mentos the cold shoulder here. Coke should be partnering with Perfetti to turn this into The Fad of the Summer of ‘06, staging performances of the Eepybird.com version of the experiment in public parks, and selling not just Mentos and Diet Coke, but other relatives from the firms’ respective brand families to enthralled audiences. This is the kind of free, viral marketing that a clever company like Hansen Natural (Nasdaq: HANS) would have been all over months ago. That Coke passes it off with a “pshaw” and a “can’t-be-bothered” helps explain why, unlike the Diet Coke-plus-Mentos geysers, Coke’s stock has lain flat for five years.

63. Comment madness! « The Journal of Rockett Science - May 1, 2007

[...] Marketing, Blogging. trackback I can’t decide whether to close the comments (62 so far) on “You know what? Screw my Coke Rewards points” or leave it open and see where it all goes. The insane amount of attention that single post gets is [...]

64. Tim - May 2, 2007

I think I bailed after 9 points, mainly because the mp3 rewards from Sony would require me to install yet another proprietary piece of software on my computer to listen to the darn thing.

Also I heard that M-users (1000 points and up) get to a secret reward level where you exchange your points for Type II Diabetes.

65. RICHARD - May 2, 2007

I was just waiting for the home screen for coke rewards to come up and i think i opened pandoras box of POP UPS. Everything from a free vacation to a chance at $5,000.00 an hour. I wonder if Coke is selling the E-mail addresses of those who log on to there site? SO YOUR STUFF AIN’T FREE.

66. Leisa - May 2, 2007

hey there, i can’t even get on mycokerewards.com anymore i liked the old one i have to enter them on my cell phone

67. wildwill - May 2, 2007

Wow, I have no problems with the new site.

68. Wade Rockett - May 3, 2007

@RICHARD, you might check the Privacy Policy at the site to see what Coke is doing with your e-mail address.

But I’ve never seen any pop-up windows at the site! It’s possible (and this is my old Help Desk training kicking in here) that your PC has spyware on it. You might try running Lavasoft’s AdAware to find out. It’s free for personal use, and a really good piece of software.

69. Tracy Williams - May 3, 2007

OK, how on earth are you guys building up 2000, 2500 points?! And I thought I drank alot of Diet Coke? And to those that have given up on trying to enter codes, contact me, mail them to me, I’ll be glad to enter them!

70. KIM - May 4, 2007

WHEN YOU GET CASES OF COKE AT SAMS CLUB, WHERE IS THE REWARD POINTS AT? I CANT FIND THEM ON THE PACKAGE?

71. Wade Rockett - May 4, 2007

@ KIM, HOW BIG ARE THE SAMS CLUB CASES? I THINK YOU CAN ONLY GET CODES FROM 12-PACKS. THEY ARE PRINTED ON THE INSIDE.

ALSO, YOUR CAPS LOCK IS ON.

72. Chris - May 4, 2007

O.K. I have been trying to enter my points since 9:00 this morning….the page is STILL loading!! I happened upon this site on Google and it caught my eye. Glad I’m not the only one having trouble with the “new” site.

74. Joann - May 5, 2007

I have a zip loc baggy full of caps and I can’t even get on the site to enter them. What’s up with that? What about the new site? I hadn’t even heard of it until I logged on to this site.

75. Tracy Williams - May 5, 2007

Hey Joann, type mycokerewards.com into your search. You should pull up the site as the second or third choice. I use msn. The new site does take longer to load and it is often difficult to get on. Keep trying though. To help you see the codes, hold a flashlight under them. This works like a charm! And no, they don’t put codes on cases. Look for 12-pack sales! Again, anyone that has codes that does not want them, let me know. I will give you more contact info. for myself so you can get them to me.

76. eric h - May 6, 2007

TRACY WILLIAMS yes. they do have points on cases. maybe just not in your area yet but they are starting to put them on cases and 32pks so keep an eye out.

77. Tracy Williams - May 6, 2007

Thanks for heads-up eric h. It’s usually cheaper to buy a case. It’s about time! What part of the country do you live in? I’ve never seen a 32 pack of pop.

78. eric h - May 7, 2007

TRACY WILLIAMS- i live in Orlando. but i only know so much because i am employed by the Coca-Cola Company. so usually i know when all the knew stuff is out. by the way, for everyone who loved Vanilla Coke and for some reason it was discontinued, it comes back out next week along with Vanille Coke Zero.

79. We have a Coke employee! Vanilla Coke coming back, he says. « The Journal of Rockett Science - May 7, 2007

[...] eric h has been giving advice to frustrated My Coke Rewards participants in the comments on “You know what? Screw my Coke Rewards Points.” Today, Eric revealed that he is an employee of the Coca-Cola company. Is he for real? Time [...]

80. Linda Baskey - May 7, 2007

comment number 73—eric h all codes do not work —the last 3 do not work even with copy/paste..so I know they were correct..thanks anyway..linda b

81. eric h - May 7, 2007

LINDA BASKEY- some of the codes were either or so not all of them will work for you but at least you got a chance to get some free points. you should have accumulated 38 points i think. thanks for the feedback

82. Wade Rockett - May 7, 2007

@ Linda - if you copy and paste the codes, make sure that you got all of the numbers. You might have to go back and take out the spaces and then enter the last couple of numbers manually.

83. Wade Rockett - May 7, 2007

P.S. eric h is awesome for posting these. Thanks, eric!

84. tracylynn - May 7, 2007

Eric H: I entered the codes also and they worked. Thanks! Hey! I also live in Orlando, but not FLA. Personally, I like Diet Coke with lime.

85. Eric H - May 8, 2007

TRACYLYNN- Personally i drink Vanilla Coke Zero or Cherry Coke Zero. What other state has an Orlando?

86. Tracy Williams aka tracylynn - May 8, 2007

Sorry about the name thing. Oklahoma has an Orlando. We also have Miami, but it’s pronounced My-am-uh. Good ol’e okies!

87. Bill St G - May 9, 2007

Some of us live out in the boonies and can’t get high speed internet, slow dial up modem is our only option at this point in time. The my coke rewards site might eventually come up, but who has that amount of time on thier hands. As of now I have 481 points and and a jar full of caps I can’t enter because I can’t get on the site. It’s been like that for about a month now. For those of you who say it’s so easy, you must have high speed, cause dial up ain’t cuttin’ it.

88. Tracy Williams aka tracylynn - May 10, 2007

Yes, I do have DSL. It still takes a while sometimes though. Listen, I also live in the boonies, but have DSL. Do you have a CO-OP for phone service? If you will cal Coke, they will help you get your points. 1-800-438-2653 8a-5p EST. Give it a try. You can only enter 10 at a time on line. Have you tried to enter via text messaging? I haven’t done it that way, but you can. For those of us out here in the boonies, we don’t have cell service at home! As a matter of fact, we were notified today, that we finally have an actual street address vs. Rt 1! What do you know! We made the big time!! Anyway, try giving Coke a call. I hope it helps!

89. Vicki L - May 11, 2007

I have been trying all week to get the Coke Rewards site to load. I finally got it to load this AM. I have tried unsuccessfully 6 times to register. It is unbelievable to me that Coke hasn’t done something about this site. I’m done with trying.

90. Inside Man - May 11, 2007

As the son of a coke employee I cant get anything above the cheap junk which i could already get for free… ticks me off too because I can get loads of those drinks for a fraction of their retail value… rather gey

I remember a long time ago they had some promotion where you could get need for speed or road rash for the PS1 or PC… ended up walking home with about 20-30 copies of the most worthless games ever…

91. Warren - May 12, 2007

I hate the 30 point limit a day, I heard it use to be 100 points a day. Since the last maintenance change a month ago the prizes are beginning to look like stuff you get at the Dollartree store.

92. Amie - May 13, 2007

The limit per day is 10 CODES not just 30 points. However if you just add 3 value point codes every day I guess that would equal 30 points. I’ve got 13674 points and am waiting for a laptop to appear for redemption other than the sweepstakes. Maybe I’m just hopeful, lol. I’m still waiting for my confirmation code to be resent to me for my farberware skillet set I ordered 4-16. I’ve gotten other e-mail from Coke about the Pirates promotion but nothing that I requested an answer for as yet.

93. Harry - May 14, 2007

Has anybody actually received a reward from Coke? I’ve been waiting 12 weeks for a little stuffed bear, and I don’t see any way to communicate with them to ask whats going on. All I see is that the order is being “processed”.

94. Tracy Williams - May 14, 2007

Yes! As a matter of fact, I have! I have recieved several magazine subscriptions, a key chain, a stuffed bear,a 6-game game set, several coupons. If you call the number on your Coke products, they will check into it for you. I have only had trouble once with not recieving something. And, as a matter of fact, it did take quite q while to get the bear. When I lookat mt account on the web page, it shows that some rewards are pending, when I recieved them a long time ago! This is the number to call: 1-800-438-2653. Good Luck!

95. Harry - May 14, 2007

Thanks Tracy

96. withoutdelay8 - May 14, 2007

When you get a item do you have to pay a shipping charge? I would like to get some golf balls but I have a feeling that I will have to pay shipping fees equivalent to just going down to the sporting goods store and buying them.

97. Amie - May 15, 2007

Items that I have redeemed points for have been shipped by DHL service with no shipping charge. I got a pkg. of the noodle golf balls and had no problem. It did take a bit longer because they ran out but i finally got them.

98. Tracy Williams - May 15, 2007

withoutdelay8: No. There are NO shipping charges. Everything is sent directly to you, free of charge. I did discover this weekend though, that the coupons for free drinks (in my case, Minute Maid juice), aren’t necessarily free. In small print, it said “up to $1.35″. So, I ended up paying 60 cents. Overall, that’s pretty good for OJ though. Remember, the whole idea is to get rewards for products that you are already using. Not to start buying Coke products to get rewards. The magazine subscriptions are a great deal! Good luck! Enjoy your golf balls!

99. Steven - May 15, 2007

I, like Tracy, have not had any problems entering the points or enjoying thr rewards. So far, we have redeemed the points for two plush toys for our kids, plus numerous Blockbuster free rental coupons. I do admit to not being able to read the caps, but my 11 year old entered them for me. Now, I use a cheap pair of magnifyer reading glasses, and all is well.

I enjoy the program and love the fact that other Coke products (Sprite, etc.) are now included in the program.

100. MCRcrap - May 16, 2007

What happened to the BB movie rental for 36 points? Now its 45!! What a load. The site sucks and is slow as molasses. I hate MCR

101. Judie - May 16, 2007

I have not been able to access the site for two weeks. I know that I am using a dial-up modem so maybe the idea is to make the site unaccessable to those who are not keeping up with technology. I don’t know, but, I do know that I was able to access it and use it, just fine, before the changes in April. Since then, I have gotten onto it twice after it took forever to download. I have some points out there that I would like to use and some more codes to enter. The site is certainly not customer friendly unless Coke considers all of their customers to be computer geeks with access to the greatest and latest technology. I thought the market was for Coke consumers. I guess I was wrong! Who designed this thing, anyway!

102. Tracy Williams - May 16, 2007

Judie, the rep. at Coke said that she would forward your info to the technical dept. I have asked them twice now to have someone in that dept. to log on and read the blog. We’ll see! But, you can call for assistance. I don’t know if they will, but maybe they can put the codes in for you, give you credit.? Here’s the number to call 1-800-438-2653. Good luck!

103. Eric H - May 16, 2007

JUDIE- You know having cable isnt the latest and greatest. You know everybody has only been using it for nearly a decade. How about upgrading your crappy computer. If you dont like it then go buy some Pepsi and spare us your usless complaints. Oh yeah, you suck!

104. james mann - May 16, 2007

how can i enter my codes

105. Mal - May 16, 2007

For those of you who have the problem of the mycokerewards.com page loading; you must have Java enabled within your browser. I was using the page just fine until early April when it took my points ( 2 Blockbuster certificates), but never sent the email. I have since contacted both the myrewards page and Coke (via their web site). It took 5 days for the 1st to reply and the 2nd generated a message about checking my spam folder. I have tried again with no success. I am going to try the 800 number and see where that gets me. I realize it is not a lot of money we are talking about, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

106. Jean - May 16, 2007

The 8oo number said they are are working on it and to just keep trying..This was 9 days ago.And I have been trying all times of the day with no luck yet.

107. Amie - May 16, 2007

YEAH! I finally received my confirmation number for my redeemed points used on 4-16-07. It took a month to finally get the code via E-mail. This is the address from which my contact was finally answered- mycokerewards@eprizefulfillment.com - Maybe someone else will find that E-mail addy helpful. Stay with it, I’ve redeemed 12 prizes within the last year. Just for drinking Coke products, I think it’s a great program !

108. Kerry - May 16, 2007

At the beginning of this promotion you could get a laptop for 8,000 points. Of course when I reached the 8,000 they were all gone. I tried to get a trip to Hawaii for 15,000 points, and when I reached that goal….it was gone. BUT….they still had in in a sweepstakes!! My next goal was the walk-on-role for 26,000 points. Can anyone tell me what happened next? They took that away too!!

So now I have exchanged my points for a bunch of crap I didn’t really need and with a greatly dimished point value. Just so ya know….I got the dvd/vcr, the 19″ LCD TV, and a Nintendo Wii.

Now I can’t even get back on the damned sight. Does anyone else feel the frustration with this program?

109. Tracy Williams - May 16, 2007

Judie-The tech support people also told me that you have to have Adobe Flash installed on your computer to load the site……Eric H- what’s up with the ‘tude? Are you having a bad day? Just because everyone else isn’t as tech savvy as you dosen’t mean you can rip on them! A piece of advice, Have a Coke and smile!!!

110. lobster - May 17, 2007

Yes, I agree. Sorry to say I can’t even download the website. Sad. And I totally love coke compared to Pepsi!

111. Eric H - May 17, 2007

TRACY WILLIAMS_ Yes, you are absolutely right. I would like to apoligize to you and JUDIE. So here goes, Im sorry! It just gets annoying to here everybody complain after awhile. Im also on another forum that i help people out ,which i wont disclose. I dont want to take anything or anybody away from this sight. I love this sight! Tracie, you dont even want to know all of the stuff I have recieved from this loyalty program. You would probably instantly hate me.

112. Tracy Williams - May 17, 2007

Eric H: If you are one of those people who have managed to ammass literally thousands of points, you’re probably right!!! I do drink a lot of Diet Coke, but geez! Yes, it does get kind of frustrating hearing cmplaints, but it’s still fun to collect the points. So, just what “stff” have you recieved? I promise, I won’t hate you in the morning!

113. Rudy Ramirez - May 17, 2007

Hi,

First I can’t read the letters & numbers after removing the cover over the digits. Then, the mycokerewards.com site is not working. The submit button does not show up when I go to the site on Thurs night, May 17, 2007. I am totally frustrated with the coke rewards promotion after the Blockbuster 2 cokes, 2 movies & a popcorn bucket increased to 140 points.

114. Rene Alfano - May 18, 2007

I played to contest to get 10 points and the numbers would not go in the code section. Twice I played and several times I was refused. Can you fix that?

115. Tracy Williams - May 18, 2007

Rudy: I don’t think you are supposed to remove anything from the inside of the bottle cap. That may be why you can’t read the code. Rudy and Rene: Call this # for help 1-800-438-2653. Good Luck!

116. Betty - May 18, 2007

I have tried for days now to get the My coke reward site to load and it will not load..I wish they would get the site fixed…thank you…

117. Eric H - May 18, 2007

TRACIE WILLIAMS- Well, where do I start? I have recieved all of these items: Sony 7.2mp camera
Sony PSP x2
Sony gift card $200 x10
Sony gift card $100 x5
Blockbuster gift card $100 x7
Blockbuster gift card $75 x4
NFL football game and VIP treatment x2.
I think thats it. But please dot be mad.

118. Eric H - May 18, 2007

TRACIE- Here, I’ll throw you a bone. Try this code 100083158358966.

119. Tracy Williams - May 18, 2007

Eric H: How on earth did you get all of those points?!!!!! Thanks for the bone! MMM, Tasty!

120. Kerry - May 18, 2007

If he’s like me….he owns a vending company….and gets the codes from the many 12pks we go through in a day.

I know it’s not fair to most of you….but hey….it’s the only perk ya get when you run your own business.

Thank goodness people in Tulsa love Coke!!

121. Nilie Chaitoff - May 19, 2007

Nilie- May 19, 2007

ERROR- Thats what I keep getting. Can”t enter codes

122. oldfuzzster - May 19, 2007

what’s up with the web site -says loading but is a blank page????????
Also anyone know anything about C-2?? Was available till about the first of the year now it’s gone..LOVE THE STUFF WANT MORE!!!!!
Live in Ohio, is it still around? Will drive to PA or WV to get more thanks!

123. Eric H - May 19, 2007

OLDFUZZSTTER- C2 is discontinued.

124. HRS - May 19, 2007

Although I was able to get on the new (SLOOOOWWWER) site twice I have been unable to get in for the last week… I get a red box in the middle of the screen that says ERROR with the explanation “Undefined”.. anyone else having this problem?

Maybe its time for me to quit this nonsence… I too have had too many codes rejected because you cant make out the numbers & letters… cant comment on the rewards as I haven’t really looked to see what they will buy, maybe I need to do that *IF* I ever get back on…

125. EH - May 19, 2007

Site’s been down about a week for me too - same thing, Error, undefined. Sigh….. I have codes to enter.

126. Melissa - May 19, 2007

I have a complaint about My Coke Rewards. There is no way to contact them!! About six weeks ago I changed my email address. In my login to mycokerewards.com they go by the old one which is no longer open. So I can’t log on to change my profile because my login doesn’t work. I have 800 some points from codes. You figure that’s money I spent on Coke bottles just to play this stupid game and now I can’t even log in!!! They don’t offer a phone number or email address if you have questions about their web page. I hate this stupid thing!!! Anyone else having this problem email me and put My Coke Rewards as the subject. Thanks!!

127. Tracy Williams - May 19, 2007

Melissa: Call 1-800-438-2653. Tell them you need to talk with someone about MY Coke Rewards. You can also try mycokerewards@eprizefulfillment.com. Good luck!

128. Eric H - May 20, 2007

TRACY WILLIAMS- Its amazing how many people you give that number to on this site alone. People say they cant find a number ANYWHERE!?!

129. Amie - May 20, 2007

Melissa : Read up I also changed my email addy on the website. It took about a month for a reply to come through to me. I went to the new website way down at the bottom there is a faqs section which allows you to contact the prize dept. directly. I went through the redemption question and then used the Contact Us link it provided. My answer came via that link. I too tried the 800 phone number and was directed to a automated call bank where I also left a phone # for contact. As stated my answer came to me via the mycokerewards@eprizefulfillment.com addy. Hope that helps you, it’s frustrating, but keep with it and you’ll get a reply. I emailed them 4 times prior to response (once every week) guess what lol, theres a backlog. Good Luck !!!

130. Tracy Williams - May 20, 2007

Eric H: No kidding! Nothing personal to those who cpuldn’t find the number! It is on the producut container. I have a friend who used to remind me, “Common sense ain’t all that common!”
And, as Amie said above, there is a contact us link on the web site. It is frustrating though, when you have so much trouble finding what you want and loading the site, etc. Sometimes in a situation like that, you simply don’t see what is right in front of you. Unfortunately, I speak from experience!

131. LSK - May 20, 2007

Hi. I, too, have been getting the “error - undefined” thing. It has only been the last couple of days. Has anyone found out why this is happening? My sister says she went there tonight and got right in - but I still get the error. What’s up?

132. Tracy Williams - May 20, 2007

LSK; You probably don’t have the right program on your computer to load the site. A rep. at customer service told me that you need Adobe Flash. I read somewhere-I can’t find it right now- that there is another program that also works. I’m not having any trouble. Occasionally it’s a little slow to load, but otherwise, I have no trouble, so I don’t know why so many people simply cannot load the sight. Try the program. You can also call consumer services at 1-800-438-2653. Good luck!

133. Melissa - May 21, 2007

Hey everyone thanks for the suggestions. I found the FAQ and sent in a complaint, but just as predicted, no answer has come. Instead I will try the 800 number given above by Tracy Williams and see if that works. In an ironic twist though, I recieved an email from mycokerewards.com saying thta if I didn’t log back into their site before June 6th, my points would expire. As previously stated I don’t want to loose my points because of the money I have spent just to play the game. Drinking coke daily is not the norm for me. I usually buy I 2 liter bottle which lasts a month, but since my friends have gotten my hooked on this game I have bought more drinks just to play. My friends also play the Dr. Pepper game at drpepperbubble.com (same concept).

134. tanja - May 21, 2007

all aol users look here. Use your internet explorer to get to my coke site. Works but it is still slooow. Still i was geting tired of trying with no result. Thank you whom ever it was who provided the phone #

135. Tracy Williams - May 21, 2007

Melissa: You have to redeem or post points every 90 days to keep your account active. Maybe if you enter only one code each time you enter the site, it will help. We have started drinking Diet Dr Pepper also, so thanks for the 411 on their game!

136. Susan Burns - May 22, 2007

136 .Susan Burns May 22nd I have been trying to get into my coke rewards for the past 4 weeks and still no luck. can someone please tell me what is going on with them. does anyone have a telephone number for Coke so i can call them Please

137. Eric H - May 22, 2007

TRACY- Ive been collecting for the DR Pepper game but theres not much on there. Pepsi also has a Transformer game. Its like Cokes sweepstakes.

138. margy - May 22, 2007

I called the 800-438-2653 number for coke and they said I needed to clear my ‘cookies’ and ‘internet files’ because I was getting the ERROR UNDEFINED whenever I tried to sign into their website this past week. I did this and it worked! I got in..finally!

139. Carol - May 22, 2007

Since Coke “improved” its rewards site, all that comes up on my computer is loading, loading, loading. I have left it at that point for 30 minutes or more and it never finishes loading…What do I do?

140. Tracy Williams - May 22, 2007

Susan and Carol; You can call 1-800-438-2653 and ask for help with the my coke rewards program.
Carol: Do you have Adobe Flash? Have you cleared your cookies and internet files?
EricH: I checked into the Dr Pepper game last noc…YAWN! I’m not interested in that one. You’re right. There isn’t much on there. I think I’ll continue to spend the bulk of my money on Diet Coke!

Good luck girls! Keep trying. You’ll eventually be ablw to log on.

141. Michele - May 23, 2007

Hello, to all. I am not a computer wiz. I am not a computer dummy. I have been drinking at least 2 twelve packs of Coca-Cola classic for years. My boyfriend, and his mom go thru roughly the same amount. Not alot of points, but enough. I had no problem with the old site. I received a Coke towel. Magazines, sephora gift certif’s. Head phones, and etc. This new site has me pulling my hair out of my head. a week ago I kept getting the red screen with coke bottles in bubbles? Left clicked everywhere on the page, and was allowed to add 100 points to my account. Now after hours, and hours of leaving the site up it won’t load. I have tried. Making sure my adobe flash is updated. My Java is updated, My cookies, and temp files are gone. As I stated earlier I am defintly a Coca-Cola addict. So, I won’t stop drinking. I just want a small piece of the action. I finally found this site last night. If anyone finds another way to get on please let me know. PS. No, I don’t weigh 200 hundred pounds!

142. Tracy Williams - May 23, 2007

Michele: Sounds like you have done everything that has been suggested. The only other thing I would know to do is to call customer service. 1-800-438-2653. I had the same problem for a while and it just cleared up on its own. Good Luck!

143. Kelwyss - May 24, 2007

Stumbled across this site while trying to remember how to initiate the hookup to my account via my celly. Wrote down the code and number to text to, but I recall something else that I need to enter… oh well, will look it up later from a computer. (my cell-not a blackberry- is awesome with internet explorer, but no flash player, so no coke rewards site access) Anyhoo, I just started my account up last night figuring, why not? Diet coke and sprite abound in my abode. *giggle* Kind of wondering if it’s worth the bother after reading all of these complaints! Eh, but I guess nothing ventured, nothing gained. You have quite the site here, and I have learned much. Glad I googled your site, Mr. Rockett! Cool name, by the way.

144. Wade Rockett - May 24, 2007

@ Kelwyss - Thanks, I’m glad you Googled me, too! I hope you enjoy the rest of the blog too, and not just this post. Although it looks like this post may be an entire world unto itself, full of magic and wonder.

I’ve been posting more stuff related to loyalty programs - not just Coke’s - at http://suchrewards.tumblr.com/ if you want to check it out! Not sure whether I’ll keep it up or move it to a WordPress blog or what, but it’s fun.

145. Michele - May 24, 2007

I can’t believe it! The coke fairy must of hit my house this morning. Once again I tried this morning. Got that stupid red screen. Click, click here. Click, click there. Nothing. Refresh? Nothing! Get really pissed. Tried my mother-in-laws computer. Ha ha! She doesn’t have the newest flash player, but further then I can get. Oh well..Let me go back to my room, and grab my can of coke. Yahoo! Coke site bigger then life on my computer. Was it the constant trying for the last month? or was it a coke fairy? you decide. Added more points, got more rewards. Thanks for having this site. Did not come up with anything I had not already tried, but it did let me vent. It also let me know I was not alone. Thank’s. Good luck to future people. Just keep trying! You’ll get there!

146. carla gandy - May 24, 2007

I also drink alot of coke classic and now all of a sudden mycokerewards page won’t load on my computer either. GRRRRRRR really making me mad. I cannot even find a place to complain 2 coca cola about it. Go figure. O well thanks for allowing me this place 2 vent. Any suggestions??

147. carla gandy - May 24, 2007

Ooooppppssss. My bad, I just read above all the great info and i will sure be trying some things. Thanks for sharing your information!! Good luck everyone!!

148. Eric H - May 25, 2007

151. Matthew - May 25, 2007

Oh yea i also have no problems typin in codes as a madder of fact i enterd mine today,

152. Tracy Williams - May 25, 2007

Eric H: Thanks again for the bones!

154. Jules - May 26, 2007

Just wondering - would anyone be interested in trading caps/points for discounts on Tupperware? Atleast this way you’d get something out of ‘em rather than throwing them away and getting nothing…

155. Joey - May 26, 2007

Well I can’t even see the whole thing. I am very dissappointed in this site. When I can’t agree to something because my computer screen is too far over. It is so stupid

156. Lon - May 27, 2007

I couldn’t access the website, it gives me this error message that said “Sorry, we cannot process your request right now. Please try again later.” Did anybody else recieve the same problem? I only have 93 pts, ordered a bottle open which cost me 66 pts but haven’t receive an e-mail with the tracking number yet. How many days would it take for them to send you the tracking url and number?

157. David - May 28, 2007

MATTHEW, Please every one let the boy have this one. Here is a code for you. lwr9g-tzlny-t69g4. I drink Diet coke all the time.
After reading all the notes. I have changed my mine about this coke
thing. I could have had hundreds and hundreds of points. I will save this web site and be back with codes to give out of time to time

158. Tracy Williams - May 28, 2007

I got the error message all day Sunday, but this am, was able to get right on.

Lon: I don’t recall ever getting a tracking numbe via email when I redeemed for prizes. All of the things I have redeemed for have come though. There is a link- contact us- on the site. Try that.

159. Amie - May 28, 2007

LON: I’ve redeemed 17 prizes, 16 on the old format 1 on the new one the only trouble I’ve had was with the new format. Upon redemption the website tells you you will receive a code via email which in turn propmts you to verify your shipping address and phone. I had my email filters set too rigidly to receive the email containing the confirmation code. I had to use the Contact Us link under FAQS on the new website to have Coke rewards resend the Email with the confirmation code. Once I provided all the information asked for I then received a Shipping notification tracking number from a Marketing firm, It did have My Coke Rewards in the subject Header so i knew it wasn’t spam. It took about a month for my respnse to be sent on the Contact Us inquirey I sent. Good Luck & Check Your E-Mail Filters that might help !

160. Eric H - May 28, 2007

TRACY- I got you another one. 100084377678573.
For all who need some points try these: 100084056688357, 100084148441474, 100084377678573

161. Judi - May 28, 2007

can anyone help me??? I’ve been trying to log on to the my rewards site for three days. I finally got to the point where I got the cute little coca-cola screen with the bottles floating around that says “loading” - but it doesn’t go anywhere! I e-mailed coke, cleared by cache, flushed my DNS files. I’m so frustrated.

162. Lon - May 28, 2007

Thank you Amie And Tracy for the help. So all I have to do is just sit and wait for the prize to reach me without filling out any verfication e-mails?

163. Tracy Williams - May 28, 2007

Eric: Thanks for the code. They were all out of the bonus rewards though!

Lon: Yes! They will send a verification, but it’s just to confirm that you redeemed points and for what reward. Sometimes the wait can be quite a while, so be patient!

164. Diana Russell - May 28, 2007

please help I have not been able to get on the coke site for 3 days now I see where someone said something about clearing cache I do not know what that is or where it’s at, but I did clear cookies and temp. folders..

165. Diana Russell - May 28, 2007

ok, sorry to bother you all I just got on… Eric H. thanks for the codes I put them all in and got a total of 88 points, free coke ( out of inventory) which I don’t care I was excited about all the free points.. where do you find these codes?

166. Rob - May 28, 2007

I’ve been entering codes since the program started. I don’t complain too much since it is (Financially) free. I buy a whole lot of diet coke regardless of the promotion so the only cost to me is taking time to enter the codes. The 12 pack 10 pointers aren’t hard at all to enter, but I’ve had similar problems as you with the caps.

@Diana Russell
I just got a tip about those 88 points and free 20oz. coke (which was out of inventory for me as well).
Its a first come, first serve type of deal; well, at least for the first 50,000 or so entries.

167. Amy - May 28, 2007

Vanilla Coke is back in Florida and Alabama- along with Vanilla Coke zero- I bought a ton this holiday weekend- totally delish- and a great way to get more points! Anyone able to get the $100 sephora giftcard?

168. Lance - May 29, 2007

Ok, question 1, how do you contact customer service or email a representative associated with my coke rewards program; and question 2, where do you find the codes without purchasing coke products?
When J.Gordon won the Pepsi race, I entered for a free bottle of it too. The big difference…..I got my product without some stupid message that they were all out of inventory, and then lost the ability to enter the reward number for any points or anything else.
To be honest, I don’t have the patience for this. If I can’t get some answers from any of you helpful people from this posting, I’m done with them and sticking with Pepsi.
I never really liked Coke anyway. So, I spent money on a bunch of idiotic outgoing and incoming text messages for nothing. What a waste!!!!

169. Rob - May 29, 2007

@Amy
Do you mean does anyone have enough points for the giftcard or did anyone actually GET the card?

@Lance
1.)http://www.questions3.coca-cola.com/
2.)random luck with google search

170. Atomicgal - May 29, 2007

Okay folks….I have the idea of attempting to surmount an inconceivable number of points!! Or at least enough to I can earn a portable dvd player with which play the dvds which accompany my education degree textbooks (yeppers, I am attempting to earn my teaching certification!) Anyone out there that can spare a code it would be hugely appreciated!

171. CD - May 30, 2007

Here are some promo codes I’ve come across. All worked for me, and the best part is you can enter them in addition to your daily 10 codes!
100084148441474 for 25 Points
100084056688357 for 25 Points
100083158358966 for 10 Points
100083969675326 for 10 Points
100082622438433 for 10 Points
100082211832616 for 10 Points
100082157763657 for 5 Points
100082021821624 for 3 Points
I’m saving for a big prize. So far I have 5200 points. I wanted a laptop, but that one is out again, so I’ll keep saving.

172. margy - May 30, 2007

CD……..none of these codes worked for me. Is there something I am missing here as to how to enter them as I always get a window come up that says the code was not entered properly.

173. Eric H - May 30, 2007

Those are all old codes. Thank you Mr. never on time.

174. Daniel - May 30, 2007

Thanks for the 60 free points, gotta try the other ones tomorrow, since I already entered 10 codes before that. But thanks, that puts me a little closer to that Wii system.

Daniel

175. margy - May 30, 2007

Eric……I want to thank you for all the freebies you’ve been putting out for us all. I, for one, TRULY appreciate them! You ROCK!

176. Tracy Williams - May 30, 2007

It seems that these codes have already been entered! They can only be entered once!
One favor to ask:When someone puts a codes or codes on for someone in particular, please be kind enough not to enetr the code unless it is intended for you. Thanks!

177. Amie - May 30, 2007

Just viewed the rewards still available. Not a whole lot to choose from left. They need to get rid of the lame NASCAR Hats & NCAA Basketballs and add some more rewards. I’d like to redeem some of these points but there doesn’t seem to be much left of value. Maybe I’ll get Best Buy Cards before they are gone as the Blockbuster Cards went quickly these may too. It just takes so long to get the points to a large amount and when you get the total up there theres nothing worth redemption. It will soon be June maybe new rewards will be added. I want more choices !!!

178. drumxxsticks - May 30, 2007

why do i keep getting random excuses every time i try to enter a code, like upc not avaliable. anyways …do these codes become inactive as soon as someone uses one. or do they still work as long as your not on the same account

for example Eric H. the codes you put up. do they only work the first time someone puts them in?

179. drumxxsticks - May 30, 2007

Amie: how did you get so many pointss?, and how long does it take. cuz im starting from 101 right now and im not sure if its worth working my way up to the thousands where i can get something worthwhile

180. Amie - May 30, 2007

drumxxsticks : I’ve got 2 email addresses going and my boy friend collects the codes at work from the recycle bin. 1 address I’ve never redeemed on at all & I’ve got 14175 points…..waiting for a laptop…lol, the other I use quite often. I’ve been entering codes since last years game and have gotten some nice rewards but it seems Coke has a tendency to leave things on the sight until their stock is out (like the silver designer dress it’s been on since the contest started last year) I would like to see the prizes udated bi-weekly and non moving items deleted so theres room for a larger selection. But as they say FREE IS FREE so I shouldnt complain I guess. It’s a good program I’m just an impatient soul !

181. drumxxsticks - May 30, 2007

Amie: damn 14175. wanna get me that best buy gift card?

182. Tracy Williams - May 31, 2007

drumxxsticks: Yes, the codes become “inactive” after they are entered once. It doesn’t help to enter on a different account or computer, etc.

183. drumxxsticks - May 31, 2007

okay…and if any one wants to be kind enough to lend me some major codes. id be glad to give you my email, it would be a huge help since i need to reach the thousands

184. boberto? - May 31, 2007

Since you guys all hate my coke rewards and i love ‘em then you could just send me the codes you have currently at flyordie2@gmail.com

185. Tracy Williams - June 1, 2007

Hey boberto: We don’t all hate my coke rewards. This blog is for venting issues/frustrations and sharing our experiences with my coke rewards. Most of us actually have fun collecting points and redeeming them!

186. Josh - June 1, 2007

are you people blind i type in my codes in the dark and they are always right and i don’t even have good eye site

187. Wade Rockett - June 1, 2007

If someone has points that they want to give a specific person, they should really send the points to that person directly through e-mail or IM. If you post them publicly here, someone will almost certainly snatch them up as soon as they see them. Also, you never know WHEN the person you meant to send them to will check this comment thread next.
