My Coke Rewards experience improves March 1, 2007

You may remember my previous rant on the subject of My Coke Rewards: that the shape of the bottlecaps made the codes too hard to read and enter correctly. I’ve noticed recently that the caps have changed for the better. They are glossier, they are half their previous depth, the little bottlecap condoms at the bottoms are easier to remove, and the Coke Rewards codes seem to be printed more boldly. I haven’t had any trouble redeeming them at the Web site since the change. Well done, Coca-Cola company! I still have no real idea why I’m participating in this promotion. But now it’s much easier for me to do so.

Funny you mention that, Wade. I found that it makes it harder to, you know, get to the actual product you bought in the first place. The caps are much harder to get off the bottle now, because they’re so shallow.

Long time, no see. Been prety busy, maybe we can get together again soon!

Amen…The numbers in the caps are too hard to see and too hard to get to. It shouldn’t take an act of congress to get to the numbers!

Yea the codes are kinda hard to read on the bottle caps (especially when you get older) and sometimes the twelve pack codes are smeared when printed. I have donated several magazine subscriptions to Ronald McDonald house from what was trash that I have found. So I guess the promo is okay, I just don’t expect to get too much for nothing!!!

Yes, the codes are hard to read and some of the twelve pack are really smeared. You have a tough time deciefering the codes. The new site a little tricky getting around. You have a hard time browsing rewards. I hate to think what its going to take to redeem points. Ten codes at a time are not enough. You have to go through this hassle every time you want to do codes. Go back to the old browsers

I just spent more than 15 minutes trying to submit the 12 digit code from a coke pack. I used their HELP site and it still is impossible. Has anyone figured out how to contact Coke and complain. And yes, what is one going to do with those points. I am beginning to think we consumers are being played.

I suddenly started having a problem with codes. I just tried to enter a brand new cap. Clearly legible. It claims “code invalid for program”. It is a new cap. Can’t have been entered before. And I can’t find a contact email (or anything else) to ask what’s going on! This is the third cap I’ve had do this.

11. Monika - July 19, 2007

I am having the same problem. i just got two brand new caps and both say invalid. its been a long time since i have entered a code and their home page seems to make the entering process easier. i guess i was wrong. am i supposed to use like dashes or something after like the first four or five digits? i am so sad.

12. 1poorguy - July 20, 2007

That’s what’s really weird, Monika. No dashes or spaces. I enter lots of caps with no problems, and then I get one that says “invalid”. I’ve had four now (as of this morning). And their website has NO contact info at all (just that stupid “Hank” which is worse than useless).

i have a hard time sign on my coke rewards i try everthing i know

14. Francine - July 30, 2007

Hi , I’m new here but have some info to help . The invalid codes - try them again . I think it was a comp. glitch . I had some and called them as did a bunch of others . Then a few days later - I tried again and they Worked fine . If not call coke and give them the code info - they will research it and get the points credited to you later.
And the Tel # to contact coke is 1-866-776-6610
And if anyone wants to sell me their caps or flaps if you have a bunch email me cobraford@hotmail.com I can pay a couple cents a cap
Also papajohns has a contest where if you enter your email or text every day they have some prizes for free MCR points . I got 10 points emailed to me for signing up and won 33 points they’ll send me later .Some people won 200 pts .I’ll keep trying.
They also just had 11 days of double points for Powerade , nestea and minute maid caps - got 6 points ea. But that just ended on the 27th.
Well have a good one !

I was really excited when I first started collecting the points but, it is so fustrating to enter code that are invalid because I can’t read them. I have close to 300 points that I can’t read. Any suggestions?

16. gina - August 7, 2007

I have had nothing but positive experiences!! So far I’ve redeemed for about 5 movie tickets…1 Bowling party…1 Adult ticket to Six Flags…a cute christmas ornament…etc. I mostly use diet coke 2 liter lids..but also the 12 packs. Sure sometimes I find a glitch..but not enough to make it a problem. I have also used their submit a question…and they got back to me within 2 days.

goldenrod41314 I have tried three days to enter my codes on a 24 pack of coke. I have dreank coke for years. This is so stupid. You enter them right and they say you don:t what;s wrong. I am going to forget about it and change to another drink not coke. Upset in Ky.
