This is a shot Merlin took from his first-class seat on Virgin America (he flew coach the other way.) Replying to a comment on this pic, he reviews the experience. I’d really like to try this airline out when it begins serving Seattle. Um…assuming that we have money and a destination by then.
If a computer geek is someone who uses a computer in order to be using a computer, what do you call someone who wants to fly somewhere primarily to try out an airline?

Not too busy to treat a guy to lunch, however. Thanks, Imad!

Author Madeleine L’Engle dies at 88.
I first read L’Engle when I was nine years old and living in the Philippines. An excerpt from A Wrinkle In Time ran in one issue of The Children’s Digest. It blew my mind; as soon as I could, I got to the library where I found a copy of the book in the For Sale racks. I can’t count the number of times that I read it.

Delete more messages, more often. There’s a lot of stuff that I don’t really need to know, and absolutely don’t need to act on.
I only need to archive the final message in a thread.
As Brian Oberkirch suggests, make “no” the default answer to requests.
At work, create a “WFH” subject line filter in Outlook that drops those messages into a separate folder. I almost never need to know that one of my colleagues is working from home.
