on my hosted wordpress on wordpress.org this one worked for me. But when i moved my wordpress to my own server I don’t get it worked… I used this to place youtube and vimeo video’s… The shortcodes just don’t work… And I don’t want to change all the posts with embedded video’s…

DOESN’T WORK!!!!! I am hosting my WordPress site on my own server and when I type that html code in the html editor, the result just displays the code I typed in. No I am not in the visual editor, I am in the HTML editor.
Mack – it doesn’t work on a self-hosted WordPress site. These instructions are only for blogs hosted on WordfPress.com.
For your site, I think you may need to look into adding a plugin.
